Gabriel Gongora returns to Dominican University after a successful career with the men’s soccer program culminated in a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-American Third Team and NSCAA All-Central Region Second Team honors for the Naperville, Illinois, native. A four-year starting goalkeeper, Gongora posted a 0.80 goals against average in over 6,100 minutes in goal throughout his Dominican career. During his tenure, the Stars posted a mark of 50-18-11, including a 32-4-4 record in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play.
Throughout his career, Gongora was named to the All-NACC team three times, including First Team selections in 2015 and 2016 and a share of the 2015 NACC Defensive Player of the Year award.
