Kyle Boekeloo becomes the latest alum to return to the Dominican University men’s soccer program as an assistant coach under Erick Baumann. A 2013 graduate of Dominican, Boekeloo earned four letters with the Stars from 2008-2011, including an NCAA Final Four appearance in 2009. Throughout his career, Boekeloo logged more than 5,500 minutes on the Stars’ backline over 79 career games, including 62 starts. During his time, the Stars posted a 76-9-6 record, winning four Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) championships, four NACC Tournament championships and making four national tournament appearances.
Following his collegiate playing career, Boekeloo began a teaching career that saw him spend more than three years at St. Joseph High School in Westchester before moving to Saint Laurence High School during the summer of 2017. In addition to his time in the classroom as a mathematics teacher, Boekeloo has served as an assistant coach with the boys’ and girls’ soccer programs at St. Joseph and was named the head girls’ soccer coach at St. Laurence this summer.
