Matt Callaway joins the Dominican University men’s volleyball staff for the 2018 season after wrapping up a collegiate volleyball playing career at Penn State University from 2012-2017. During his career with the Nittany Lions, Callaway posted 523 kills and 365 blocks while appearing in 418 sets over four seasons. Callaway averaged better than .87 blocks per set throughout his collegiate career, including a team-best 1.03 blocks per set as a junior during the 2016 season.
Prior to his experience at Penn State, Callaway was a standout at Wheaton Warrenville South High School where he was a two-time team captain, helping the Tigers to a IHSA State Championship in 2012 when he was named an AVCA First Team All-American.
