Garry Rivera brings with him over a decade of coaching experience at the club level as he joins the Dominican University softball staff as an assistant coach under Cristina Lukas.  Most recently, Rivera is a coach with the Illinois Hawks.
 
During his tenure as a club coach, Rivera has placed in the top ten nationally three times, including a 2013 fourth place finish with his 18U team in a 23 and under national tournament.  This past summer, Rivera coached his team to a 10th place finish at the Sparkler in Colorado.
