Al Davis joins the Dominican University women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach for the 2015-2016 season. Davis, a former NAIA Division I scholarship athlete at Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma, has spent the last four years honing his skills as a coach serving as a student assistant coach at Bacone College and as a girls’ high school basketball AAU coach at the Baylor Youth Foundation.
During his time as a collegiate student-athlete, Davis helped the Bearcats at Lon Morris College to a conference championship with a 26-6 overall record and an appearance in the regional semifinals his freshman year. Following his second year at LMC, Davis earned a scholarship to Bacone College where he spent two seasons as a member of the men’s basketball team before joining the coaching staff for the 2013-2014 season.
