Amanda Parker comes to Dominican University after a successful three-year stint at Muskegon Community College where she served as head women’s basketball coach and assistant athletic director, receiving Coach of the Year honors in women’s basketball from the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) in 2017 and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association in 2018. During her three seasons with the Jayhawks, Parker guided the women's basketball team to a 63-24 overall record, eclipsing the 20-win mark every year.
In addition to her time at Muskegon, Parker logged time at the high school ranks, spending two seasons as an assistant girls’ basketball coach at Reeths Puffer High School in Michigan and two seasons at Pickerington Central High School in Ohio as well as founding the Lakeshore Lady Elite AAU basketball program.
As a player, Parker earned a four-year scholarship to Division I Western Michigan after lettering in basketball, volleyball, softball and track in high school. At Western Michigan, Parker set the single-season and career records in three-point field goal and free-throw percentage and the single season records in free throws made and three-point field goals made.
