Sara Kloosterman joins Carlos Carrillo’s women’s soccer staff as an assistant coach for the 2014 season.  Kloosterman comes to Dominican with a wealth of coaching experience including collegiate experience at Northern Illinois University, Columbus State University, Indiana University and Michigan State. From 2010 to 2012, Kloosterman served as an assistant coach with the Northern Illinois University Huskies where she coached the Huskies’ goalkeeper to the sixth lowest goals against average in program history in 2011.
 
Aside from her collegiate coaching experience, Kloosterman has logged experience as a youth, high school and Olympic Development Program (ODP) coach including her current position as a head coach with the Chicago Edge Soccer Club.  With the River Forest-based Edge, Kloosterman serves as the head coach of both the U9 and U12 girls premiere and select teams.
 
In addition to her coaching expertise, Kloosterman brings to Dominican a wealth of knowledge she gained during her time as a player.  After a four-year career with the Michigan State University Spartans that included an all-Big 10 selection and 1st and 2nd Team All-Region honors, Kloosterman continued to her playing career with the Hampton Road Piranhas of the United Soccer Leagues W-League.
