Molly McCoy, a recent graduate and four-year letterwinner with the UIC Flames women’s volleyball program, makes the leap from collegiate student-athlete to coach, joining second-year head coach Jeanne Czipri’s women’s volleyball staff at Dominican University for the 2015 season.
With the Flames, McCoy appeared in 317 sets over four seasons, including all 117 sets during her senior season, averaging 2.35 kills per set while hitting at a .149 clip for her career. The St. Charles native, ranked amongst the Horizon League Leaders as a junior, averaging 2.80 kills per set, and logged a career-best 19 kills in a match against the Marshall Thundering Herd on September 6, 2013.
Prior to UIC, McCoy starred at Wheaton Academy from 2007-2011 where she was a three-time all-Christina Suburban Conference honoree and led Warriors in aces, kills, hitting percentage and digs her junior and senior seasons.
