Men’s Basketball Falls To Fourth-Ranked Titans

The Dominican University men’s basketball team slipped to 2-3 on the season with an 83-70 loss at the hands of the fourth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University Titans on Saturday afternoon in Bloomington, Ill.
The Stars were paced by senior Marquis Turley’s (Grand Rapids, Mich.) 19 points in the losing effort. Turley went 7-for-12 from the field and connected on three of his five attempts from three-point range, but it was the Titans’ Sean Johnson that took game-high honors, pouring in 34 points on 12-for-18 shooting from the field, including 5-for-10 from long range.
The Stars will look to climb back to .500 as they open Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) play on Tuesday night, hosting neighborhood rival Concordia University Chicago for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff in Dominican’s Igini Sports Forum.
