Logan Harris (Pleasant Plains, Ill.) tallied 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Dominican University men’s basketball team past the MacMurray College Highlanders, 86-67, in River Forest on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Stars to 6-4 on the season while dropping MacMurray to 2-5.

Dominican led by as many as 16 in the first twenty minutes and led 46-33 at the break as
Milos Mandic (Munster, Ind.) tallied two of his season-high 16 to close out the first half.
The Stars opened the second half with an 8-2 run with
Marquis Turley (Grand Rapids, Mich.) sparking the run with back-to-back buckets to put the Stars ahead 54-35. Dominican continued to extend its lead, stretching its advantage to 27 (71-44) on a Mandic rebound and put back with ten minutes to play, and then coasted to the non-conference victory.
Harris and Mandic led four players in double-figures for the Stars with DeRoo adding 14 points on 6-for-12 shooting from the field and junior
Kevin Blackowicz (Mundelein, Ill.) scoring 11 points in the winning effort.
Dominican shot 50 percent from the field (35-for-70) while holding the Highlanders to 24-for-60 shooting and forcing 20 turnovers.
The Stars, winners of four of their last five contests, will return to action on Tuesday, squaring off with Trine University in Orlando, Fla.
