Box Score The Dominican University men’s soccer team picked up their fourth straight win, improving to 5-1-0 on the season with a 3-1 win over the Wheaton College Thunder on Wednesday night at Joe Bean Stadium in Wheaton.

Logan Marvin (Johnston, Iowa) broke a scoreless tie in the 44
th minute, receiving a pass from teammate
Edwin Lagunas (Waukegan, Ill.) before beating Wheaton’s Ryan Seager for his third goal of the season and giving the Stars a 1-0 advantage heading into halftime.
The Stars continued to press in the second half eventually netting what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 67
th minute as
Robbie Baird (Columbia, Mo.) netted his first goal of the season.
Just five minutes later, junior
David Aranda (Wheeling, Ill.) added an insurance goal for Dominican, tallying his first goal of the season, beating Seager on a shot from 15 yards out.
Less than thirty seconds later the Thunder got on the board as Mitchell Paur scored his first goal of the season.
Dominican’s Dan Cimicata (St. Louis, Mo.) improved to 5-1-0 in goal for the Stars in the winning effort. Cimicata faced seven shots, making a pair of saves, and now has a 0.82 goals against average in nearly 5:50 minutes in goal.
On the stat sheet, the Stars had a 17-7 advantage in shots while neither team had an advantage in corner kicks (6-6).
On Saturday, Dominican travels to Watertown, Wis., to take on the Maranatha Baptist Bible College Crusaders in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) action before returning to River Forest on Sunday to host the Washington University (Mo.) Bears.
