Box Score Seven different players scored as the Dominican University men's soccer team dominated the Rockford College Regents in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) play on Tuesday afternoon, posting a 9-0 win.
Billy Eddy (Gurnee, Ill.) tallied two goals, his fourth and fifth of the season, while
RJ Dralle (Oak Brook, Ill.) was credited with the game winner as he notched his first collegiate goal in the 20th minute to give the Stars a 1-nil advantage.
Ryan Ybarra (Des Plaines, Ill.),
Leo Elizalde (Wheeling, Ill.),
Carmelo DiFranco (Addison, Ill.),
Neftali Alejandre (Chicago, Ill.) and
Mario Toro (Katy, Texas) all netted one goal apiece while the Stars also were credited with an own goal in the winning effort.
Freshman goalkeeper
Zach Watson (Carol Stream, Ill.) picked up the shutout in his first collegiate start. Watson was virtually untested in goal as the stingy Dominican defense did not allow a single shot.
The win improves the Stars to 12-2-0 overall and a perfect 9-0-0 in NAC play. The Stars have just two regular season games remaining, including a tilt with the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons on Saturday in Mequon, Wis. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
