Box Score The Hope College Flying Dutch visited River Forest on Saturday afternoon and handed the Dominican University women's soccer team their first loss of the young season, 3-1.

The Flying Dutch struck first, as Nora Kirk received a ball from Raisa Yewah on the left side of the box before beating Dominican's Allie Wagner (Sheboygan, Wis.) in the 16th minute for her first goal of the season.

The Stars answered right back, knotting the game at one goal apiece as Taylor Adler (Shorewood, Ill.) tallied her first collegiate goal just 34 seconds later.

The score remained 1-1 into the second half but the Flying Dutch managed a pair of second half tallies, the first in 54th minute by Erin Jipping followed by a score in the 67th minute by Lindsey Bieri.

The Flying Dutch outshot the Stars 18-10 and held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The loss drops the Stars to 1-1 on the season.  Dominican will return to action on Wednesday, hosting the North Park University Vikings for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff on West Campus Field.
