The Dominican University women's tennis team traveled to Mequon, Wis., on Saturday afternoon, falling 8-1 to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons to open the 2012 season.

Playing at number six singles, Monica Budzak (Chicago, Ill.) picked up the lone point for the Stars, topping the Falcons' Emily McCormick 1-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Dominican will travel back to Wisconsin next Saturday to take on the Alverno College Inferno and the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors in Northern Athletics Conference action.
