Box Score The Dominican University men’s soccer team pushed its unbeaten streak against conference opponents to 93 matches and counting with a 4-0 win over the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors in Milwaukee on Wednesday night. The win was also career coaching victory number 299 for Erick Baumann, the Stars’ head coach, as he improved to 299-67-22 in his 18
th season at the helm of the program.
David Aranda (Wheeling, Ill.),
Trent Miller (Rockford, Ill.) and
Billy Eddy (Gurnee, Ill.) each scored their second goal of the season while
Andy Lynch (Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) notched his fifth tally of his senior campaign. Miller also picked up a pair of assists on the night, including a helper on Aranda’s goal in the 17
th minute, which proved to be the game-winner.
Max Gutbrod (Slinger, Wis.) extended his shutout streak to 360 minutes, posting his fourth consecutive shutout and lowering his goals against average to a Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) best 0.48. Gutbrod faced just three shots on the night, saving the Warriors’ lone shot on goal, while Dominican peppered the Warriors’ goal with 19 shots, putting ten on frame.
The win improves the Stars to 6-1-1 on the season and a perfect 3-0-0 in NAC play. Baumann will look to become just the 37
