Box Score The Dominican University women's soccer team dropped its second straight home match on Wednesday afternoon, falling to the North Park University Vikings, 3-1.
North Park took a 1-0 lead in just the third minute of play as Emily Lundeen was able to just beat Dominican's
Allie Wagner (Sheboygan, Wis.) to a ball in the box and then kicked the ball through Wagner's hands and into the back of the Stars goal.
Dominican tallied an equalizer in the 17th minute as freshman
Taylor Adler (Shorewood, Ill.) carried up the right flank before sending a ball through the Vikings' 18-yard box to the foot of
Jen Russ (Downers Grove, Ill.) who one-touched a shot for her first goal of the season.
The Vikings reclaimed the lead in the 37th minute on a controversial goal as Katrina Dekermendjian ripped a shot that appeared to hit off a tire on the outside of the goal but rebounded right back to Dekermendjian who was then able to beat Wagner to put the Vikings back on top 2-1.
North Park added an insurance goal in the 73rd minute as Lundeen notched her second goal of the season.
The Stars will be on the road on Friday, traveling to the University of Chicago to take on the Maroons in a 4:00 p.m. match.
