Box Score The Dominican University men's basketball team watched a second half lead slip away, falling to the Lake Forest College Foresters 94-88 in the Stars' season opener on Friday night.
The Stars led the Foresters 68-50 with under 12 minutes to play in the second half, but the Foresters went on an 18-5 run to cut the Stars' lead to 73-68 with 6:30 to play.

Ryan Risley (Oak Lawn, Ill.) answered with a six-point run, to momentarily extend the Stars' lead back to double-digits at 79-68 under six minutes to play.
The Foresters' outscored Dominican 24-9 the rest of the way, going 9-for-10 at the foul line in the final minute of play to hold off the Stars.
As a team, Dominican went 34-for-62 from the field, including 8-for-23 from behind the three-point arc, but managed to convert on just 12 of their 19 attempts from the foul line.

Taylor DeRoo (Holland, Mich.) led all scorers with 26 points on 12-for-17 shooting from the field.
Logan Harris (Pleasant Plains, Ill.) added 22 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds while Risley chipped in 12 points off the Dominican bench.
Lake Forest attempted 36 free throws in the game, converting on 26. The Foresters were 32-for-60 from the field, including 4-for-13 from three.
Dominican returns to River Forest, hosting the Beloit College Buccaneers on Tuesday for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff in the Igini Sports Forum.
