Stars Topped By Panthers

Box Score The Dominican University men's basketball team was on the wrong side of a 93-65 game against the Greenville College Panthers in Greenville on Saturday afternoon. Leading 42-34 at the break, the host Panthers used a 51-point second half to put the Stars away, shooting 60-percent from field and going 12-for-15 from the free throw line in the second stanza.

Taylor DeRoo (Holland, Mich.) led three players in double-figures scoring for the Stars, putting up 16 points on 8-for-11 shooting. Logan Harris (Pleasant Plains, Ill.) added 13 points while Ryan Risley (Oak Lawn, Ill.) came off the bench to score ten points in 11 minutes.

The Panthers, paced by Michael Hohm's game-high 20 points, capitalized on 13 Dominican turnovers to score 20 points off of turnovers and pounded the ball in the paint, scoring 42 points in the paint.

The loss drops Dominican to 0-3 on the season with less than 24 hours before the Stars return to the court. Dominican will be back in action in Sunday afternoon, traveling to St. Louis, Mo., to take on the Webster University Gorloks. Tipoff is slated for 2:00 p.m.
