The Dominican University women's soccer team fell to perennial Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) power, the Aurora University Spartans, 4-1 on Tuesday afternoon.

Dominican got on the board first, grabbing a 1-0 lead in the 12
th minute as
Kelly Gerwitz (Florissant, Mo.) beat Aurora's Rachel Warnock for her fourth goal of the season. The goal snapped a streak of 551 consecutive minutes of shutout soccer for the Spartans who had not been scored upon in their previous six matches.

Aurora stormed back, finding the back of the goal twice before the end of the first half. Brittany Roydhouse's header off a corner in the 36
th minute knotted the game at 1-1 while Alyssa Mok's tally in the 43
rd minute proved to be the eventual game-winner.

Aurora tacked on two more in the second half while limiting the Stars to just five shots over the final 45 minutes.

The loss snaps a streak of back-to-back wins for the Stars, dropping Dominican to 5-5-0 on the season and 2-2-0 in NACC play. The Stars return home on Saturday, hosting the Lakeland College Muskies for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff as part of Dominican's homecoming festivities.
