th minute, the Stars earned a restart out near midfield after an Edgewood foul.

The Stars outshot the Eagles 9-4 in the opening half, and 17-8 for the game, with the teams each putting four shots on frame for the match.
For the Stars,
Zach Watson (Carol Stream, Ill.) and
Gabriel Gongora (Naperville, Ill.) split the match in goal for the Stars, logging two saves apiece to post the combined clean sheet while facing four shots each.
"We were a bit unlucky in the first half," said Dominican University head coach Erick Baumann. "I thought we should have been up three or four goals at the half."
"However in the second half," Baumann continued, "they came out hard and we didn't manage the game again. That is something we need to improve if we are going to accomplish our goals."
The Stars return home to host the Rockford University Regents on Wednesday for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff on West Campus Field.
