The Dominican University women's soccer team took a break from Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action, traveling up to Ripon, Wisconsin, to take on the Ripon College Red Hawks in a non-conference tilt, returning to River Forest with a 2-0 win.

Kelli Iovino (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and
Leah Tednes (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) tallied goals for the Stars while
Taylor Adler (Shorewood, Ill.) assisted on both scores. Iovino, who was credited with the game-winner in the 36
th minute, now has a team-best nine goals on the season while Tednes has scored eight goals on the year.

Sara Stepanovich (Des Plaines, Ill.) picked up her third shutout of the season, making three saves as the Stars outshot the Red Hawks, 23-5.

The Stars, now 8-6-0 on the season, return to action on Saturday, hosting the North Central College Cardinals for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff at West Campus Field. Dominican then returns to NACC play next week, hosting the MSOE Raiders and Alverno College.
