Box Score The visiting Marian University Sabres led wire-to-wire, handing the Dominican University men's basketball team a 84-51 defeat in River Forest on Monday evening. The Sabres shot a season-high 64.8 percent from the field, going 33-for-54 from the field and 5-for-12 from three-point distance.
Kyle Sherwin (White Lake, Mich.) made the most of his first start of the season, scoring 14 points in the losing effort on 5-for-7 shooting from the field.
The Sabres were led by Sam Koslowski and Josh Creed who scored 14 points apiece. Creed was part of a Marian bench that scored 47 points with Carvell Oliver chipping in 13 on 6-for-7 shooting from the field.
The loss drops Dominican to 4-16 overall and 3-12 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC). Dominican will be back in action on Wednesday night, traveling to Rockford to take on the Rockford University Regents. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
