The Dominican University women's tennis team ran into the Edgewood College Eagles, tied for first in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC), falling 7-2 at the Stars' home courts in Forest Park.

Dominican found itself in a 3-0 hole following doubles action and managed to win just the fourth and fifth singles flights behind freshmen
Carmelita Villalobos (Addison, Ill.) and
Mady Corrie (Frankfort, Ind.). Villalobos ran her individual record to 12-2 in her rookie season, topping the Eagles' Molly Protz, 6-4, 6-1, while Corrie knocked off Mykenzy Palmer, 6-4, 6-3.

The Stars now stand at 7-7 on the season and close out the NACC regular season with a 7-3 mark to finish in a three-way tie for third in the standings. The Stars will close out the fall portion of their 2014-2015 season next Saturday, taking on the Roosevelt University Lakers in a non-conference tilt.
