The Dominican University men's volleyball team dropped its second consecutive match to open the 2015 season, falling to the Cardinal Stritch University Wolves in five sets (25-19, 17-25, 25-23, 22-25, 17-15) on Tuesday night in Milwaukee.

Freshman
Luke Spicer (St. Charles, Ill.) led three players with double-digit kills for the Stars, knocking down 14 kills on 45 swings with seven errors as Dominican hit just .108 in the loss.Â
Aidan Spangler (Western Springs, Ill.) added 11 kills on just 20 attempts while
Zachery Sinn (Winfield, Ill.) tallied ten kills of his own.

Defensively, Dominican tallied 13.5 total blocks, led by Spangler and
Alex Coyne (Naperville, Ill.) who had seven total blocks apiece. Coyne added 11 digs while
Brooks Nevrly (Downers Grove, Ill.) collected 23 digs of his own.

The road does not get any easier for the youthful Stars with the NCAA Division III top-ranked Juniata College Eagles coming to the Igini Sports Forum on Friday. The match is slated for an 8:00 p.m. start.
