The Dominican University men's basketball dropped a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) matchup on Saturday evening, falling to the Marian University Sabres 78-65 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

The Sabres used a 14-4 run over the first eight minutes of the second half to grow a four-point halftime lead to 14, 61-47, and never looked back.

Tim Robertson (Chicago, Ill.) led the Stars with a game-high 14 points on 5-for-14 shooting from the field and going a perfect 4-for-4 from the foul line.Â
Josh Mayberry (Canton, Mich.),
Quinn Pokora (Mundelein, Ill.) and
Rich Bodee (Darien, Ill.) all chipped in 13 points in the losing effort.

For the Sabres, Mike Keller, Josh Creed, Montrell Hobbs and Brandon McCullum all shared team-high honors with 13 points apiece.

Dominican falls to 2-18 on the season and 2-13 in the NACC. The Stars return to the court on Wednesday, hosting the Rockford University Regents for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff in the Igini Sports Forum.
