Stars Raise Awareness For Fight Against Pediatric Cancer

Box Score When the Dominican University men's soccer team and Aurora University Spartans played to a 1-1 draw on October 14, both sides played for more than just a chance at a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) victory, teaming up with Go4theGoal to join the fight against pediatric cancer.

"I appreciate Coach Lakin including us in the effort to bring awareness and support to the fight against pediatric cancer," commented Erick Baumann, the Stars' head coach since 1995. "I hope our small donation can help a child or family in need."

Members of both coaching staffs wore yellow shoelaces during the event and the Stars' men's soccer program followed up with a $150 donation to the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital.
