The Dominican University women's volleyball team never trailed at any point in cruising to a three-set (25-12, 25-7, 25-7) sweep of the visiting Alverno College Inferno in just 49 minutes in the Igini Sports Forum on Saturday evening. The win pushed the Stars to 10-1 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference and wrapped up a first round bye in the NACC Tournament the first week of November as the tournament's two-seed.
The Stars hit a season-high .452 in knocking down 33 kills on 62 attempts while committing just five errors.

"I was happy to see us bounce back after last night's performance," said
Jeanne Czipri following the match. The Stars' second-year head coach continued, "We cleaned some things up but still have a lot of work to do before next weekend and the NACC Tournament. With that said, I'm proud of us for finishing second in the conference and securing the first round bye in the NACC Tournament. I am anxious to get back to work next week."
As a team, Dominican racked up 12 service aces, three apiece for Wilson and
Rosalyn Wyse (Greenville, Mich.) while
Tessa Griparis (Belleair, Fla.),

The Stars, now 22-7 overall, will tune-up for the NACC Tournament with a trio of matches next weekend.
