The Dominican University men's basketball team dropped their second game of their two-game trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado, falling to the Wartburg College Knights 81-71.

The Knights used a 17-2 run that spanned six minutes midway through the second half to open a 67-42 lead they would never relinquish. The Stars were able to chip the lead all the way down to ten, closing the game on a 19-5 run capped by
Tim Robertson's (Chicago, Ill.) put back with 21 seconds to play as the comeback ran out of time.

Robertson finished with a game-high 25 points on 8-for-12 shooting in the loss for Dominican.Â
Josh Mayberry (Canton, Mich.) added 19 while
Isaac Moore (Chicago, Ill.) chipped in 13 off the bench, knocking down three three's one day after connecting on a career-high five three-point field goals.

Jordan Cannon paced the Knights with a team-high 21 points on 9-for-11 shooting from the field while Nick Weber added 16 as Wartburg shot better than 52-percent from the field, 28-for-53.
"We had a qucik turnaround after last night's game and got off to a very slow start which we never really recovered from," said
Mark White, the Stars' head coach. "On a positive note, Tim Robertson had a very strong game and was named to the All-Tournament Team."

The loss drops the Stars to 1-8 on the season with a return to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action on the horizon after the first of the year. On January 6, the Stars will head to Lisle, Illinois, to take on the #7 Benedictine University Eagles. Tip is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Benedictine's Rice Center.
