The Dominican University baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to the Marian University Sabres on Sunday afternoon in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, falling to 11-24 overall and 7-11 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).
The Stars close out the 2015 regular season with four games at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium this week, including a NACC series against the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors on Friday.
Game One: Marian 5, Dominican 0 The Stars managed just four hits as Marian's Taylor Bryc tossed a complete game, walking just one while striking out four, to move to 4-0 on the season.
Dominican's
Chance Emlund (Chicago, III.) suffered the loss on the mound, surrendering five runs on 11 hits and four walks over 6 2/3 innings of work. The Sabres strung together four hits against Emlund in the bottom of the second to open a 3-0 lead and never trailed in the game.

Colin Janison (Las Vegas, Nev.) and
Joe Lyons (Chicago Ridge, III.) each picked up a single in the loss for the Stars.
Game Two: Marian 3, Dominican 2 Milne Rojek suffered his first loss of the season, falling to 1-1 in his fourth start of the year. The junior right-hander scattered nine hits over seven-plus innings, giving up three runs while walking one and striking out one.
With the game tied at 1-1 in the bottom of the eighth, the Sabres knocked Milne Rojek out of the game, stringing together three hits to open the inning and pushing across a run. The Sabres added a run on a sacrifice bunt before Janison closed out the inning with the Stars trailing 3-1 heading to the ninth.
J.T. Hicks (Albion, Mich.) led off the inning with a single followed by a hit batter to put the tying run on base for Dominican.
Joe Kukla (Chicago, III.) pushed the runners over with a sacrifice bunt. After a flyout, Milne Rojek singled through the right side to plate one run but that was all the Stars could manage.
