The Stars remained unbeaten in preseason action, picking up their second shutout in three matches, as they topped Wheaton College, ranked #2 in the NSCAA preseason top 25, 1-0 behind Adam Yaghmour's first half goal.

Gabriel Gongora picked up the win in goal with 90 minutes of shutout soccer.

"We played extremely well in the first 45 minutes," commented Erick Baumann, the Stars' head men's soccer coach, when asked about his team's performance. "I really liked our compete level. We started nine freshman and sophomores alongside two juniors and it didn't look like that. The boys are progressing nicely and we are taking everything one day at a time."

Baumann continued, "It was a good preseason result but now we need to get ready for our opener next Tuesday."

Dominican, 3-0-0 in the preseason, open the regular season on Tuesday at University of Chicago at 7pm.
