The Dominican University women's tennis team split a pair of dual matches on Saturday in Wisconsin, topping the Lakeland College Muskies, 7-2, before falling to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons, 9-0.

After taking the second and third doubles flights, Dominican dominated singles action, taking the number one singles flight and third through sixth flights. Carmelita Villalobos led the singles charge, disposing of Lakeland's Emma Schad at number one singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Gabby Curran had tougher matches with Carvajal winning 6-3, 6-4 over Tyner Strawn and Curran slipping past Carly Brault, 6-3, 7-5.

With the split, Dominican now stands at 3-8 on the year and 2-5 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play. The Stars will close out the Fall season this week, taking on the Concordia University Chicago Cougars on Tuesday before wrapping up the NACC season on Saturday when the Stars host Alverno College.
