The Dominican University women's soccer team dominated the stat sheet, peppering the Illinois College Lady Blues' goal with 20 shots but could not find the back of the net until the 60^th minute when freshman Alexis Hoskins's header beat Charlotte Crofton for what proved to be the game-winner.
 
Pamela Ruiz picked up the shutout victory in goal, facing just six shots all afternoon.
 
Dominican ripped ten shots in each half, putting a total of five on goal.  In the 60^th minute, it was Tania Paez getting endline that created the scoring opportunity for Dominican.  Paez played to Ashly Torres who chipped a ball into the box and Hoskins got on the end of the service and headed into the goal for her first collegiate score.
 
With the win, the Stars improve to 6-4-0 on the season, returning to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action on Wednesday, traveling to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to take on the Alverno College Inferno.  Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
