The Dominican University men's volleyball team posted their second consecutive sweep in Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) play, topping the Adrian College Bulldogs in three sets (25-9, 25-6, 25-16) behind a team-high nine kills from junior
Jeremy Royko (Naperville, Ill.).
Dominican hit an impressive .532 in the win behind 22 assists from
Alex Coyne (Naperville, Ill.) despite playing just the first two sets.
Adam Eboli (Melrose Park, Ill.) added nine kills and three block assists for the Stars while
Mason Solbrig (Lindenhurst, Ill.) tallied five kills, three aces and one block assist to total 8.5 points in the match.
Defensively, the Stars held Adrian to a .000 attack percentage, limiting the Bulldogs to just 11 kills on 56 attempts while forcing 11 attack errors.
Brooks Nevrly (Downers Grove, Ill.) led the defensive effort, collecting eight digs.
Dominican, now 14-7 overall and 7-3 in the MCVL, will finally return to the Igini Sports Forum on Tuesday, hosting the NYU Violets for a 7:00 p.m. match in non-conference action.
