The Dominican University men's volleyball team suffered their seventh setback of the season on Tuesday evening, falling to the fourth-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology Ducks in three sets (25-19, 25-18, 25-21), dropping the 13
th-ranked Stars to 12-7 on the season.

The Stars managed to generate just 35 total points in the match, logging 28 kills and seven total blocks while committing 15 attack errors, eight service errors and five blocking errors.

Sophomore outside
Luke Spicer (St. Charles, Ill.) paced the Stars with a team-high 11 kills on 32 attack attempts in the losing effort. As a team, Dominican managed to hit just .149 in the match while the Ducks, paced by Gabe Shankweiler (12 kills) and Tim Ferriter (12 kills), hit .290 in the win.

The Stars return from their trip to the east coast to return to Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) action this weekend. Dominican will head to Olivet College on Friday before battling Adrian College on Saturday. The 13
th-ranked NYU Bobcats then visit Dominican's Igini Sports Forum on Tuesday, March 15
th, for a 7:00 p.m. match.Â
