The Dominican University women's tennis hosted a pair of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) dual matches on Saturday, falling 7-2 to the MSOE Raiders before the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors edged the Stars, 6-3, in the second match of the day.
Sophomore
Gabby Curran won all four of her matches on the day, topping MSOE's Cali Bonie, 6-1, 6-0, and Wisconsin Lutheran's Emily Boyd, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1, at number three singles and combined with two different partners at number two doubles to top MSOE's doubles team 8-2 and Wisconsin Lutheran's 8-4.
Dominican's other point on the day came at number two singles where freshman
Heidi Carvajal topped the Warriors' Tabitha Schultz, 7-5, 6-4.
The Stars are now 1-6 overall and 1-4 in NACC play. Dominican will return to the courts next Sunday, September 25, hosting the Beloit College Buccaneers in a non-conference match at noon in Forest Park.
