The Dominican University women's tennis team took the courts on Tuesday afternoon, falling to the Ripon College Red Hawks 5-2 in non-conference action.
Sophomore Gabby Curran continued her fabulous season, picking up a 6-1, 6-0 win over the Red Hawks' Carly Wesner to improve to 7-2 on the season. Curran also helped pick up Dominican's other point, teaming with freshman Bridget Garner to score an 8-6 win at number two doubles. The duo has now won three straight matches at number two doubles, improving to 3-5 on the season.
The Stars, now 2-7 on the season, return to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) league play on Saturday, traveling to Wisconsin to take on the Lakeland College Muskies and Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons.
