The Dominican University women's volleyball team could not score an upset on Friday evening at the Igini Sports Forum, falling to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons in three sets (25-19, 25-22, 25-15) to fall to 4-3 in conference play and 11-10 overall.
The Stars managed to hit .160 in the loss but could not slow the Falcons' offense that managed to hit at a .306 clip despite six total blocks for the Stars.
Kendyl Todd paced the offense for Dominican, knocking down eight kills on 13 swings while committing just one error. The senior is now hitting a Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) best.369 on the season while averaging 2.85 kills per set. Dominican's freshman setter

Defensively,
Stephanie Cole posted three block assists while Todd, Labadessa,
Elin Ream and
Amanda Ricca posted two blocks apiece. In the back row,
Lauren LaVigne paced the Stars with ten digs.
For the Falcons, Megan Mayer tallied a match-high 13 kills while Kailey Erdman logged a double-double with ten kills and 13 digs.
The Stars return to the court at the Igini Sports Forum on Saturday, hosting the MSOE Raiders for a 6:00 p.m. match. The match closes out the home slate for the Stars' 2017 schedule.
