The Dominican University women's soccer team wrapped up a bye in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) women's soccer tournament, closing out an undefeated NACC regular season with a 5-0 win over the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors on Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

For the Stars, freshman goalkeeper
Abbey Brown made two saves to post her NACC-leading 12
th shutout of the season. The rookie leads all NACC goalkeepers in minutes played (1,606), goals against average (0.39) and save percentage (.870).

Scoreless at the half, Dominican scored five second half goals, including two for senior
Lexi Kiotis to pull away from the Warriors.Â
Kaitlyn Tripp scored for the second time in as many games, scoring on a free kick from 22 yards out.Â
Alexis Hoskins and
Josseline Williams also added goals in the winning effort for Dominican. For Williams, the goal was her 28
th of the season, leading NCAA Division III women's soccer in goals and points (60).

"We played well in tough, windy conditions in the first half. We created some nice opportunities but did not finish," said Carlos Carrillo, the Stars' head coach. "We came out in the second half with the wind in our favor and scored some nice goals. I was very proud of the team and the way we controlled the game. We stayed composed and worked for the entire 90 minutes. Our defensive line was great again and earned another shutout."

The Stars, now 15-0-3 on the season and 8-0-2 in conference play, close out the 2017 regular season on Wednesday, hosting the Elmhurst College Bluejays in a non-conference tilt. Dominican then opens NACC Tournament play on Wednesday, November 1, hosting a conference semifinal match.
