The Dominican University men's volleyball team hit .386 and posted ten total blocks as the Stars swept the Benedictine University Eagles (25-18, 25-19, 25-18) on Wednesday night in the Igini Sports Forum for Dominican's ninth straight win. Dominican's

Alex Coyne used three different attackers as Eboli, Kawa and
Jeremy Royko logged kills to open a 14-9 lead and force a Benedictine timeout. The Stars closed out the opening set going 15-for-19 on sideouts and not allowing the Eagles to string together an attack.
The Stars hit .520 in the opening set, committing just two errors while Spicer, Royko and Kawa knocked down four kills apiece.

"Consistency…it's what we've been preaching all season," said Dominican University's head coach
Dan Ames. "We are still looking to get to another level of play, but right now will take the consistency we saw on the court tonight. The team has worked hard these last few matches and it is starting to show. Our focus now is on our next two matches."
The Stars, now 9-1 on the season and 6-0 in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League, will head to Ohio this weekend, taking on California Lutheran and Wittenberg University on Friday in Springfield, Ohio, before meeting Mount St. Joseph and Nazareth College on Saturday in Cincinnati.
