The Dominican University softball team, coming off a day where they pounded out five home runs and collected 31 hits, grinded out a pair of wins on Tuesday to run their current win streak to six games despite committing seven errors in the field. The Stars put up double-digit hits in wins over Albion College, 7-2, and Mount Mary University, 12-4.
Sophomore left-hander
Sydney Kuderna picked up the wins in both games, improving to 4-2 on the season. Kuderna worked six innings in game one, allowing just two runs to the Albion Britons on six hits, before entering the game against Mount Mary in the second inning and tossing four innings of two-hit softball.
The Stars, now 7-3 on the season, will enjoy an off-day on Wednesday before returning to North Collier Regional Park in Naples, Florida, on Thursday for games against Eastern Nazarene University and New Jersey City University.
Game One: Dominican 7, Albion 2
The Stars jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
Gabby Curran opened the inning with a single to left before stealing home after going first to third on a single by
