The Dominican University men's soccer team is partnering with the Aurora University Spartans and the Go4TheGoal association to raise awareness and monies for Pediatric Cancer research. The Stars and Spartans will sell blue and gold bracelets on their respective campuses throughout the month of September donating the monies raised to a local hospital's pediatric cancer center.
Â
The bracelets can be purchased at home men's soccer contests on September 16
th, 27
th, and 30
th and also from Erick Baumann in Power 134. If you are unable to make it to one of the home matches, there will be an opportunity to purchase bracelets on September 29
th in the Social Hall. That day, members of the Dominican community are encouraged to wear gold and purchase a bracelet for National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day.
Â
The two programs have a goal of selling two hundred bracelets at $5.00 apiece, with $4.00 from each bracelet going directly to cancer research and the remaining dollar covering the cost of the bracelet. If the goal is met, a total of $800 will be donated to a local hospital for research.
Â
Go4TheGoal began in 2006, with the hopes of spreading awareness and raising funds for research. If you want to get involved at a deeper level please visit the foundation at
