The Dominican University women's soccer team cruised to a 9-0 victory over the Rockford College Regents on Wednesday night in non-conference action. Sophomore
Josseline Williams continued her torrid start to the season, collecting four goals to move to 13 on the season.
"We came out and moved the ball well, creating some nice opportunities and scored some nice goals," commented head coach Carlos Carrillo. "It was nice to get contributions from everyone on the team."
Carrillo used 21 players in the winning effort getting two goals from
Kelsey Healy and an assist apiece from
Nina Izzo and
Tasha Fields all off the bench.
Alyssa Messina,
Leah Kostos and
Lexi Kiotis all finished with a goal for the Stars while
Tania Paez picked up a pair of assists and now leads the NACC with seven assists on the season.
The win pushes the Stars to 5-0-1 on the season with the St. Norbert College Green Knights coming to River Forest on Saturday for a 2:45 p.m. kickoff on the Stars' West Campus turf.
