The Dominican University women's soccer team added to their program-best start, topping the St. Norbert College Green Knights 1-0 at West Campus Field on Saturday afternoon to move to 6-0-1 on the season, posting their sixth shutout over the first seven games of the season.
The Stars dominated the match on paper, holding a 25-9 advantage in shots, including putting 13 shots on frame and forcing St. Norbert's Ally Magiera to make 12 saves. Magiera was able to keep the Green Knights even with the Stars on the scoreboard until the 78

Samantha Hatfield won a 50/50 ball in the defensive third for Dominican before finding
Tania Paez. After a touch, Paez was able to lead
Lexi Kiotis up the left flank before the senior slotted a pass towards the penalty spot where
Josseline Williams took a touch before lifting a shot with her left foot inside the near post. For Williams, the score was her NCAA Division III-leading 14
th goal of the season and fourth game-winning goal.
Defensively, Dominican's
Abbey Brown faced nine shots, making eight saves, including six in the second half, to improve to 5-0-1 on the season in goal and lower her Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC)-leading goals against average to 0.48.
Dominican returns to the West Campus pitch on Monday, hosting the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff before heading to Milwaukee to open NACC play on Wednesday at Alverno College.
