The Dominican University women's soccer team extended their program-best start to the season, picking up a 4-0 win over the visiting Lakeland University Muskies on Saturday afternoon at West Campus Field.

The Stars completely dominated the Muskies, controlling possession from start to finish and outshooting Lakeland 34-3. The Stars peppered the Lakeland goal with shots, putting 19 shots on frame, forcing Lakeland's Grace Daehling to make 15 saves.

Dominican got goals from four different people, including
Tania Paez who notched what proved to be the game-winner in the 20
th minute of play. Paez later assisted on the Stars' second goal, gaining the endline before centering a pass that was knocked in by
Lexi Kiotis.

In the 57
th minute,
Leah Kostos found the back of the goal for the third time in the last two matches, capitalizing on one of Dominican's 21 corners.

Alexis Hoskins capped the game's scoring, tallying her fourth goal of the season with assists by
Nina Izzo and
Fiona van Teylingen.

The Stars are now unbeaten through their first 12 matches of the season, improving to 11-0-1 overall and 4-0-0 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play. The Stars continue to work through the NACC on Wednesday, hosting the Benedictine University Eagles for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff.
