The Dominican University men's basketball team fell to the Benedictine University Eagles on Wednesday night at the Igini Sports Forum, 75-60, falling to 4-11 on the season and 2-9 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).

The Stars led 20-16 after
Antonio Amoah's backdoor layup with 8:49 to play in the first half but scored just three points the rest of the half while Benedictine closed the half on a 12-3 run to open a 28-23 lead at the break. The Eagles scored the first seven points after the break to push the lead to 35-23 and never looked back.

Jonny Woolf scored a game-high 18 points for the Stars in the losing effort, shooting 7-for-13 from the field, and pulled down six rebounds in 31 minutes.Â
Tim Robertson added 12 points as the duo combined to score half of Dominican's 60 points.

The Eagles were paced by Brayden Olson who led three in double-figures scoring with 16 points on 4-for-13 shooting. Eric Grygo added 14 points and 11 rebounds while Kenny Bogus finished with ten points.

The Stars will look to snap a four-game losing streak on Saturday when they visit the Concordia University Chicago Cougars in the Northwestern Mutual River Forest Cup Rivalry Series. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. as part of a basketball doubleheader with the schools' men's and women's basketball teams.
