The Dominican University women's basketball team dropped their third straight, falling to the Aurora University Spartans 69-59 to fall to 5-7 on the season and 1-6 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).
Sophomore
Timiya Ray scored a team-high 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the losing effort but the Stars managed to shoot just 35-percent from the field. Freshmen
Alisha Markley and
Stephenee Huggans joined Ray in double-figures scoring, dropping in 13 and ten points respectively but the rest of the Dominican lineup combined for just 16 points on 6-for-24 shooting.
For the Spartans, Alyssa Brems led four in double-digits with 18 points, going 7-for-11 from the field. Julie Galauner, Bailey Kramer and Bri Hall all added ten points in the winning effort.
Dominican will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, traveling to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to take on the Marian University Sabres. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. at the Sabres' Sadoff Gymnasium.
