The Dominican University women's soccer team ran their shutout win streak to 12 matches with a 1-0 win against the Aurora University Spartans at Aurora's Spartan Athletics Complex. The game's lone goal came in the 61
st minute via a penalty kick buried by the Stars'
Josseline Williams.
"Tonight was a grind," said Carlos Carrillo, the Stars' head women's soccer coach. "Credit to Aurora and their efforts. We had some good opportunities early on and their goalkeeper came up big. We worked hard throughout the match and stayed organized and luckily earned an opportunity that we made count. I'm very proud of our team's effort and play."
The Stars outshot the Spartans 10-2, putting five shots on frame to the Spartans two. Goalkeeper

Ashleigh Huerta was taken down with the ball at her feet in the corner of the 18-yard box. Williams was called upon to take the ensuing penalty kick, beating Aurora's Taylor Joiner for her Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) leading 17
th goal of the season.
The Stars, now 12-2-0 on the season and a perfect 7-0-0 in NACC play, return to action on Saturday at Edgewood College where Dominican will meet the Eagles. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
