The Dominican University men's volleyball team labored through a slow start before emerging with a four-set (27-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-21) win over the visiting Marian University Sabres on Friday night at the Igini Sports Forum. The win pushes the Stars to 8-3 on the season and a perfect 2-0 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).
"I thought we closed the match better than we started it," said Dominican's Dan Pawlikowski following the win. "Marian's versatile attackers posed some different problems than we have seen thus far in the season. It was good for our group to have to make in-game adjustments and raise our volleyball IQ. I'm excited to be back at it again tomorrow!"
