Trailing 1-0 at half, the Dominican University women's soccer team scored three unanswered goals during the final 45 minutes to top the MSOE Raiders, 3-1, and improve to 10-1-0 on the season and a perfect 5-0-0 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play.

"At the half, we challenged each other to play with the passion and desire of a champion and we did exactly that," said
Carlos Carrillo, the Stars' head women's soccer coach. "After we seemingly expected things to automatically happen in the first half, we came out fast and with a lot of energy in the second half. This allowed us to quickly turn the game around. Once we tied the game and then took the lead, we didn't take our foot off the gas pedal and played an excellent half of soccer."

Dominican's two leading scorers came up huge for the Stars with
Josseline Williams scoring the game-tying goal in the 47
th minute while
Regan Coxon's 13
th goal of the season proved to be the game-winner in the 55
th minute. Williams then netted an insurance tally, her 11
th of the season, in the 88
th minute, putting the game on ice.

The Stars outshot the Raiders 9-6 for the match, doubling up the hosts in the second half, 6-3. Each side put five shots on frame with Dominican's
Abbey Brown stopping four shots to pick up the win while Abbie Lorenz managed two saves in the loss.

"This was a great team win," claimed Carrillo. "I am very proud of the team for the heart we showed for each other and the program."

Dominican will carry a seven-match winning streak into a Saturday matchup with the Lakeland University Muskies at West Campus Field. Kickoff between the Stars and Muskies is slated for 2:45 p.m.
