The Dominican University men's basketball team fell to the Concordia University Chicago Cougars, 88-71, on Saturday evening at the Igini Sports Forum, falling to 3-19 on the season and 3-13 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play.

For the Stars,
Dennis Handy and
Jackson Smith finished with 16 points apiece while
Marcus Watson logged his first double-double of the season putting up 14 points and ten rebounds.

Dominican shot 27-for-66 from the field and committed just 14 turnovers, but the Cougars managed to shoot 33-for-74 and pulled down 16 offensive rebounds, scoring 21 second chance points and 21 points off Dominican turnovers.

Mitch Pellisier led five in double-figures scoring for the Cougars, dropping in 24 points while Landen Gladney added 21 points on 10-for-16 shooting. Pellisier and Gladney rounded out double-doubles with 11 and ten rebounds respectively while Hassan Basbous pulled down a game-high 19 boards and added ten points for one of the Cougars' three double-doubles.

Dominican will return to the court in the Igini Sports Forum on Tuesday, hosting the MSOE Raiders for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff in NACC action.
